One would think that spending summer months in Natlan would get you used to the heat. [Terrible place. Far too hot. Even the deserts of Sumeru didn't compare to the searing temperatures near Natlan's volcanic regions.]
This is just-- ugh. It's oppressive and I feel personally targeted.
Personally targeted. [Diluc responds moodily, hissing the words underneath Kaeya's voice as the other man keeps talking. Of course he's just being dramatic, complaining, but in a way it's nice to be able to relax enough to be silly.
He straightens up and brushes himself off, then grimaces as he looks back at the house.]

[Kaeya continued to laugh softly at Diluc's (justifiable) antics as he walked back to their bedroom to set least get the fan set up. Electronics were still things to get used to, magic/steam powered or not. But some things were thankfully rather simple and he got the fan going and pointed at Diluc's side of the bed.
Since the bed was Western style, it wasn't very low to the ground so he did have to stack a few books to get it high enough. Then, grabbed a wooden crate that had originally had a few wine bottles in it and filled it with cryo ice. It wouldn't melt for a long time. Maybe he would make a trip to find something to better insulate and keep it cold longer but for now, this would do. It was middle of the night, after all. He lined it up with the fan and tested it to make sure the air was, indeed, quite cool.
[In the washroom, Diluc is neck-deep in a tub of cool water as suggested and looks like he might just be half asleep in it. When Kaeya walks in he cracks an eye open, grunts softly under his breath, and lifts an arm out of the water to drape it along the edge of the bath.]
You're too late. I live here now.
[But he realises that Kaeya is not going to take that for an answer, so when a couple of moments have passed he sighs and pushes himself up.]
Right, I'm coming.
[And, once flopped down in front of the stream of cool air, still slightly damp, he stretches an arm out towards his boyfriend and wiggles his fingers.] C'mere.
[Kaeya, indeed, wasn't going to let Diluc live in the bathtub. He crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway. Once Diluc finally stood up, he pushed himself from the doorway and walked inside with a soft smile.
Soon, they were in the bedroom and his boyfriend was back in the bed. This time, there was pleasantly cool air blowing on him even if it didn't drive the humidity away as much as he'd like. He laughed and took hold of those hands, climbing back into bed.]
[They didn't have hot weather like this in Mondstadt. It could be warm, sure, but the abundance of water and hills made sure there was always a breeze and it was never so stuffy and humid as this.
But no matter how hot it is, he can't turn down having Kaeya in bed with him.]
Mm, indulging me like this, I might start to think you like me. [Diluc flashes a quick grin Kaeya's way.] Think of the scandal.
Oh no. [He cooled his hands down as he intertwined their fingers, gradually so as to not startled Diluc like he does sometimes when being playful, and settled in next to his person. He chuckled and draped an equally cool leg over the warm body.

Diluc makes a low sound of satisfaction at the sensation of Kaeya's cool body against his. In the end it was likely his own natural warmth would win out, but he appreciates the effort his boyfriend is going to regardless.]

If I must. [There was a mock sigh that was swallowed up by the kiss. It turned into a muffled laugh.] Is that right? How kind of you to return my affections.
[As funny and endearing as this was, it was still the middle of the (very muggy) night. He patted Diluc's chest.]
Get some sleep, you can flirt with me some more in the morning.
Ah, I'll take that as a promise. [He says with a smile, his tone gentle and warm as he leans over to plant a final light and soft kiss against Kaeya's lips.
And then he settles down in the oasis of cool air that had been created for him, stretches out, and shuts his eyes. In credit to Kaeya's ingenuity about the whole thing, he's fast asleep within minutes.]
