[He isn't going to shake the guilt that easily, but he keeps it to himself so he doesn't bring the conversation down. It's too late and there is far too much distance between them for that kind of talk.]
Sailing? I haven't been sailing since I was a boy. [Diluc chuffs out a little laugh and sips his tea.] I'd like that. Perhaps that week out in the wilds and the campfire I promised you?
When I was wandering Inazuma I used to journey between the islands on a boat built by my own hands. Sailing to Shikoku... ah, well, it's made me a bit nostalgic for my time on Beidou's ship.
[There's a light tapping sound. Kazuha must be outside, preparing his pipe for smoking.]
That would be nice. Perhaps not in Wakayama, the wilds are maybe a bit too dangerous for a peaceful camp.
[He can imagine it. Diluc leans back slightly against the couch cushions, closing his eyes a moment as he pictures Kazuha clearly in his mind. He knows that sound. They had sat on the rear porch many a night while Kazuha had prepared a pipe.]
Mm. I can think of a few places we might go.
[His eyes go down to his comms device. The other man's name lighting up the screen.]
But I'm sure, my dear wanderer, that you have ample suggestions of your own.
I'm sure no matter where we choose to go, if it's with you, then I'll enjoy it.
[The methodical sound of Kazuha cleaning and tapping the pipe is soft and present. The samurai looks up at the night sky, the stars so much brighter out here in the village than the cities of Kyoto.
These constellations aren't the same as the sky in Teyvat. Is he feeling homesick, or just missing someone?]
Hmm, can you really call me that when I own property again, firefly?
[The chuckle that leaves him at that is soft and warm. How he would love to have Kazuha here with him right now... but in time. He could always be sure he would see him again as long as he was present in this world.]
Firefly, is it? I shan't give you any points for originality. [He's teasing, of course.]
But I suppose I'll have to think of a new nickname for you. That one will have to do in the meantime.
Hehe, I'm only teasing you. [They both are, it seems.] It was the first that came to mind. Associations make it easier to write poetry about people...
It's fine though, wanderer suits me quite well. There'll likely come a time I leave this place too. My skills will grow stagnant if I stay in one place for too long.
Hmm, I've not forgotten. I did sort of challenge you on the day we became friends, didn't I? Admittedly, now that I've grown to know you more, I find the thought of facing you in combat even more exciting.
[He can't say he doesn't find the idea exciting as well. It's been a while since he faced up against someone he considered an equal, and an injured harbinger certainly did not count.]

I've missed you too.

I'd still like to see an example of your skills in battle some time.

In that case, how could I refuse you?
