[When Diluc gets there, Kaeya is thankfully not drinking anymore as the bartender cut him off, having caught wind of someone picking up him up. He did have water with him though, at least but his face was a bit flushed from the alcohol.]

[The first words out of Diluc's mouth are to the bartender, and then he stands beside Kaeya with one arm resting on the bar, looking at him with one eyebrow raised.]
You're ridiculous. [Then he taps his arm, stepping back and expecting him to follow.] Come on, Kaeya. Let's go home.
[The bartender easily waved him off, Kaeya was hardly the first but he was certainly one of the tamer drunks.]
You've seen me do worse. [Kaeya rolled his eyes, stumbling a bit as he got off the stool and then eagerly draped his arms over Diluc's shoulders so he could lean into him.] You smell nice.
Not really given to public displays of affection, Diluc sighs and puts one arm up around the other man. He gives his shoulder a warm squeeze and can't quite help but smile in spite of himself.]
[He knows what Kaeya is getting at - the man doesn't need to specify further. Diluc makes a show of thinking about it, then sighs and bats him away to shift and crouch just slightly so he can jump on.]
Fine. Only because I'll never hear the end of it if I refuse.
[Carrying Kaeya felt a far better option than dealing with his whining all the way home, after all.]
[How different things were now... He can't help but smile a little when Kaeya presses into his neck, and he gives a small nod to the bartender before he turns away.]
Thank you for taking care of him for me. Come on now, Kaeya.
[A helpful patron opens the door for him so he can step out onto the street, and he adjusts his hold on the man slightly before he starts to walk them both home.]
[There was a small giggle and a wiggle of his feet at that, but Kaeya didn't say much more until they were out of the establishment and on their way home proper. He hummed in thought, he was never really in the habit of keeping count. Or rather, he generally knew when he was having too much or not.]
Clearly too much if I'm texting my love to you and getting a piggyback ride out of it.
[Kaeya was normally a morose drunk, Diluc had found. When he got past a certain level of imbibement his thoughts would turn to things that made him emotional, and it was usually at that point that Diluc would decide it was time to turf him out of the bar or tell Rosaria to take him home.
So he does have a point, but it is nice to see him in a more cheerful kind of mood despite being so deep in his cups.]

[He didn't have all that much to be morose about these days! Had it been December, especially November, then perhaps. But now, not so much.]
I would never! We were at that establishment the whole night, but you know how he is. He likes to wonder, so really, he ditched me. Not the other way around. Bet you he is probably in some tree with that leaf whistle of his, not a care in the world.
[But he is quite helpless to the cheek poking, given that he needs two hands in order to keep Kaeya's weight properly balanced. Still, he has another tactic up his sleeve.]

[And to demonstrate, he suddenly loosens his grip on the man just enough for him to drop a couple of inches.]
[There's a very embarrassing yelp as he's dropped a couple inches (totally the alcohol) but it's followed by Kaeya tightening his legs around Diluc's waist and crossing his ankles in front because he's a tol boi. His hands also wrap around Diluc's neck (not tightly, his hands more or less just clench his shirt).]
Well. That's just mean.
[For someone as drunk as Kaeya, that sounded very sober and very deadpan. He poked Diluc's cheek again.]
[Of course he would never have dropped him, not on purpose, but he thinks he made his point and he doesn't try to do the same thing again. Instead he holds the other man firmly and straightens his back, even as his cheek is poked again.]
It's a good thing you're cute when you're like this.
[Whatever irritation he had before was gone immediately and his voice was back to being slightly drunk and singsongy. He wiggled his feet in time to his voice.]
He thinks I'm gorgeous, he wants to kiss me, he wants to hug me...~ 🎵
[Said with utmost fondness and not even a threat to leave him here in the gutter if he keeps on singing like that. It's just good to see him this cheerful and he can't completely deny that it's quite cute.]

[Kaeya chuckled, laying his chin on Diluc's shoulder and tilting his head to rest against the thick red and blue hair. He was definitely getting sleepy, but he still gave a pouty whine.]

[Because he was not going to be held responsible for not taking proper care of Kaeya in this state, and the man ending up with a terrible hangover come morning.
He smiles a little, though, turning his head to brush a clumsy kiss to Kaeya's cheekbone.]
