[But he loves hearing that. He loves hearing that Chuuya is happy, knowing that he has found a sense of belonging here with Kaeya and himself that he had been somewhat lost without. It wasn't something that he had expected the first time he had brought the inebriated man home with him. He doesn't think either of them expected it. But as it turned out... each of them had something to offer that the other needed.
Diluc has found he sleeps more easily with company these days, which was admittedly part of the reason that he drew the man in here with him. It isn't long after Chuuya drifts off before the redhead follows.
And it isn't unusual for Diluc to dream. Sometimes it's nightmares, sometimes it's faint and fleeting impressions of his childhood or things he has experienced in Nippon. Tonight, though... it's a strangely crisp, clear picture. Diluc has a comfortable, pleasant dream that takes place next to a small lake with an island in the centre and a waterfall on the other side. The breeze is gentle and warm, the sky is clear, and the grass is soft. Up the hill behind them stands a large manor house surrounded by grape vines and other, smaller cottages.
A good dream, by all accounts. The kind that would easily fade from memory on waking if not for the startling clarity of it.]
[For Chuuya, it isn't even the surroundings that register as odd first.
It's the light. It's the feel of the breeze on his skin, the softness of the grass. The sensations of it all. It's bewildering in it's newness, and if this wasn't an kizuna induced dream he might have startled awake from that alone.
It takes him a fair few moments to collect himself and open his eyes, looking around cautiously. Green grass, nature all around. Quaint cottages and a lake, grape vines. It reminds him of Europe, of France maybe, when he got some time off and decided to visit Shirase and tour the countryside.
Where... what was this?
He takes a deep breath, finally relaxing a bit when his eyes land on Diluc nearby. Whatever was going on, Diluc was here. It was probably fine, right?]
