The noodles had only just been added so they shouldn't be overdone yet along with the egg, but there were also a few thin slices of cheese in the pot. Nippon didn't quite have the variety of cheeses like Mondstadt did but they had a few.
He stirred the pot with the cooking chopsticks and pulled out a small bowl to put the stringy, cheesy noodles onto along with the egg. It looked poached like this but should give the beef broth a nice, creamy texture from the eventual breaking of the yolk and cheese.]
Let me know if I should add or subtract any of the seasoning. And if the cheese and egg goes well.
[The smell is even better in the kitchen and he can't help humming in approval as he walks over. While Kaeya goes about stirring the pot he leans in and sniffs, smiling over at the other man while he keeps talking. There's a soft fondness there that he can't help showing these days and he slips his arm around Kaeya's back, resting his hand against his hip.]

[He noses gently behind Kaeya's ear as he holds his free hand out for the bowl.]
It would be a pity for the chef to not sample his own work.
[Pulling away would have just made it worse! Not doing so is a good choice... though Diluc wouldn't object to an opportunity to fuss over Kaeya more.]

[He gives the contents of the bowl a mix with the chopsticks before he gathers up a portion and tries it. Diluc makes a show of thinking about the taste, pausing for a few long moments after swallowing.]
[Kaeya laughed again, he grabbed a knife to slice another thin layer of cheese to add to the pot.]
It probably wouldn't need the egg them given how creamy it'll surely be with all that cheese. Is the cheese flavor good, by the way? Or should I try something else, maybe?
[But, as promised, he went on to put a bit of noodles and broth in the small bowl he had given Diluc to try it himself. He added the extra cheese to let melt and simmer before taking the bite. He hummed in contentment.]
'S very good. [He politely covered his mouth with the back of his hand holding the chopsticks as he spoke around the noodles. He waited to finish and then continued. The cheese is definitely a good addition. Hm, I think it's a good balance. I think just the one extra slice should be fine.
[Any more and he would probably just have Diluc add the amount he wanted to his own bowl once swerved. He liked cheese but not as much as Diluc did.]

He brought the bigger ramen bowls since the ones he used were just for sampling. He also turned off the stove and brought the pot over to the table. Not quite a hotpot, but it had the style like this as he set it on a preplaced mat so it wouldn't burn the wood. He left a ladle inside and set the bigger bowl down in front of Diluc.]
I have to with you two. There's only enough noodles for us, but there's more in the cupboard. They don't take more than a few minutes and leaving them in the broth will soften them too much.
[But there was definitely enough broth for the three of them. He made himself a bowl.]
You like your beef, so does Chuuya. I wouldn't call that adventurous.
[He settles into his seat and gets comfortable, smiling across at the other man when he joins him. Having two people in the house who ate far more than their bodies would suggest they could possibly manage was occasionally a burden on whoever was cooking dinner, but they did all tend to chip in.
Diluc serves himself a generous portion and, as Kaeya sits down, lightly nudges one of his feet up against the side of his partner's.]
And just take the compliment, Kaeya. Honestly. I'm trying to say something nice.
